There needs to be more education about Parkinsons Disease in aged care faciliies and in general practitioners clinics. The disease seems difficult to diagnose, which was the case with my friend. Also many support workers in the aged care system dont know how to care and support residents with Parkinsons. Often thinking the person has dementia.
